The Rose Man Nursery & Emporium opened in April 2008 at Edaville, USA, home of the Edaville Railroad, in Carver, MA. They offer the largest selection of roses (over 650 varieties) in New England. Their roses come from many growers including Star Roses, Weeks Roses, Jackson & Perkins, David Austin, Chamblee's Rose Nursery, Bailey Nurseries and Bridges Roses. The roses are grown in 3 gallon pots in a Fafard soiless mix most suitable for growing roses. They are cared for until sold, with preventive spraying for disease and regular feeding. They are the healthiest and most disease free roses that you will find in any garden center. You will also find the largest selection of Earthkind Roses, roses that do not require fertilizing, spraying, deadheading or pruning and a large selection of Griffith Buck Roses. The shop carries all of your rose growing products, supplies, rose themed gifts and crafts, rose photos and books.
Owners Irwin and Cindy Ehrenreich are active members of The Lower Cape Rose Society and travel to many district and national conventions to learn about the latest rose varieties and new rose growing products. They care for over 500 roses in their Barnstable home's rose garden and the garden at Edaville, a display garden for our customers (see the garden page). Their garden in Barnstable, MA, and the original site of their nursery, was featured on the New England Cable News show New England Dream House, in A Garden Lover's Cape Cod by C.L. Fornari, and in the Spring 2008 issue of Country Garden Magazine.
