The Rose Man is a Rose Garden Design and Rose Care Service located on Cape Cod. We have designed and planted rose gardens throughout Cape Cod and SE Massachusetts including gardens at Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich and at Edaville, USA in Carver. We offer rose selection, planting, and weekly care throughout the rose growing season.

Services include:

Design and layout of rose gardens
Selection of roses
Planting
Pruning and deadheading
Training climbers on fences, arbors and trellises
Fertilizing and spraying
Preparing roses for winter

Fees: $50 per hour for Irwin plus materials/supplies
Additional help-$40 per hour

Owners Irwin and Cindy Ehrenreich’s Barnstable, MA rose garden, with over 600 roses, was featured on the New England Cable News show New England Dream House, in A Garden Lover’s Cape Cod by C.L.Fornari, and in the Spring 2008 issue of Country Garden Magazine. The garden at their former nursery in Carver, MA, was featured in the Boston Globe (see The Gardens page).

Irwin and Cindy Ehrenreich are members of the American Rose Society, Rhode Island Rose Society, Connecticut Rose Society, Rose Hybridizers Association, and The Heritage Rose Foundation. They are both Consulting Rosarians for the American Rose Society. They travel to many district and national conventions to learn about the latest rose varieties and new rose growing products. They care for over 1,500 roses in their garden and in the gardens of their rose care clients.

Irwin, a retired surgeon, is a past president of the Seaside Rosarians and the Lower Cape Rose Society. He is the Yankee District (New England) coodinator for The American Rose Society’s Roses in Review. He is a Master Gardener with the Barnstable County Cooperative Extension. He has appeared on C.L. Fornari’s radio show, Garden Line on WXTK, to give The Rose Report.

Cindy studied at Parson’s School of Design in New York. She is a local crafter and photographer and has sold her beautiful rose photographs at many craft shows on Cape Cod and at the Barnstable County Fair. Her photos have appeared in many Rose Society Calendars.
